65. Heart of Gold
You crawl down to your knees
And sit around thinking that this cannot be.
The person you loved has retired from your life
As a job, this labours filled with strife.
They look at you and they can plainly see
The pain is killing you,
You can't breathe.
You contact myself to tell me of the news.
My minds washed up,
Yours is there to lose.
Yet you continue searching for that heart of gold.
But you are yet to discover that; it's already sold.
The love they had for you has simply ceased to be
The love you need, it can't be seen.
Yet you continue searching for that heart of gold.
But you are yet to discover that; it's already sold.
You feel like all hope is gone, you can't go on
But you know yourself, that ther'll be other ones.
You fall down that rabbit hole
You lie in doubt, was it me as a whole?
The person you loved just came an upped and went.
You feel down. Emotions are spent.
You look in the mirror and you can only see
The person there,
Staring back at thee.
You try and get it together and pick it all apart.
You hear it inside,
The breaking of your heart.
